Hey everyone I just got back from the 09 cold water surf fest. If you’ve never heard of it the cold water is the annual gathering of the superior surfer tribe. We get together grill food, drink beer, talk story and pray for surf. This year a welcome addition was the newly formed minnesota-superior chapter of surfrider sponsoring a beach cleanup at park point. The surf on tap was about thigh high if you were 4ft tall. Perfect for the 12 year olds. I snapped a few pics for ya’ll.

Everyone brought out their quiver to show off. There were some sweet vintage boards.


Addison (12) was the only one able to get a decent ride. Here he is trying to manage the SUP.
Stefan was pushing him into waves, turns out all the paddles we had were a little long for him.
